The SPM PUMP performed well in sand and light clay, however, I had a very hard (30 blow count) clay layer from 18-22 feet in depth which the cutters and jet ring had difficulty breaking up. Consequently I modified the rig to scarify the clay by using a rake and the bucket piston to break up the clay and the pump took the clay.
Certainly you can use me as a positive reference for the system.

We have completed our use for the pump this summer & it worked extremely well. As I mentioned, our application involved hanging it from the boom of an excavator (located on the bank next to the water). The pump and accompanying jet ring were extremely robust and never stalled during any part of the work. The only difficulty encountered was in priming the pump, but once primed, the pump performed flawlessly. I believe this was due to the shallow water depths involved, often less than two feet.
